Moving Forward

Although the mask mandate has been lifted and restaurants are allowed to be at full capacity, Sabai has chosen to limit party size and seating to approximately 75 percent. This decision simply allows for more spacing between tables and creates better service balance between dine-in and takeout. Our takeout service played a big role in our sustainability throughout the pandemic and today it remains an essential part of our business until we see a substantial decrease in demand. Prior to the pandemic, dine-in service was our main focus, however, with COVID we were forced to pivot our priorities and we are not yet ready to completely return to our old model.

At Sabai we have been blessed to have retain most of our staff throughout the COVID 19 pandemic. However, with the increased demand, for which we our extremely thankful, it has become more and more difficult to meet everyones request in the prompt, efficient and high-level way that we and our customers have become accustomed to and expect.

Honestly, our phones are ringing off the hook all day and everyday. We are not complaining, we're very thankful. Although this is a good problem to have as a business, it can be very frustrating to a customer who just wants to make a reservation or place a takeout order.  Please believe us when we say--we feel your pain. We continue to adjust systems and procedures to better serve our customers.

Please know that when you call we are not putting you on hold, unless we answer your call and specifically asked you to hold.  Our phone system is designed to put callers into a queue and all calls will be answered in the order it was received. So, if you are in the queue, we are taking care of another customer. Thank you for being  patient. 

​

We have three employees answering our three phones lines throughout the day. If you call during high-traffic times you will receive longer wait times. The best time to call is during our low traffic-time which is between 1:30pm to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday. WE DO ANSWER EVERY PHONE CALL.

Be assured, Sabai is committed to excellence. However, we do not want to over react to any given time or situation. We are all experiencing a rough patch in the road these days. It's time for patience and understanding. Thank you for your continued support and patience for the hardworking crew at Sabai.

Over the last 2 years TAKEOUT has been the backbone of Sabai while under the ever-changing climate of the COVID-19 pandemic. The reality is, restaurants rely and depend on takeout to bring some sense of stability during this unpredictable business environment. Be assured, we will continue to make our takeout service an important priority.
